Here is a commission I have been working on and here it is in its completion, a beautiful bluebell woodland scene, it is 24x18" painted in oils...... I was very pleased to be asked to paint this beautiful subject and thoroughly enjoyed the process. I was trying to create a magical ethereal quality that you feel when surrounded by such astounding natural beauty and took my inspiration from woodland close to my home - the fresh spring green of the leaves on the trees as they are starting to burst forth and that unmistakable blue violet of the bluebells - scenes like these never cease to amaze me, you have to stop, take stock for a moment of where you are and what you are viewing - truly magical......

Hi Jean,
I absolutely love the colours you have used here - so fresh and vibrant! The way the sun is pouring through makes me really feel like I am there!
